Signed boots auction to help Tigers charity

Figure image
Leicester Tigers fans can bid for signed rugby boots and support one of the club's official charities.

Jordan Crane, George Ford, Julian Salvi, Matt Smith and Mathew Tait have each signed a pair of match worn boots for an online auction in aid of CDKL5 UK. Click here to place a bid on the Tigers official eBay page

CDKL5 UK is a charity close to the heart of Tigers and Martyn Newey, an orthopaedic surgeon who provides pitchside medical cover for Tigers, whose daughter was diagnosed with CDKL5 in 2010. The charity raises awareness of CDKL5, a rare genetic condition, and provides support for affected families and raises funds for research.

Tigers fans can also show their support for CDKL5 by voting for the charity to receive a donation from Direct Debit’s Big Break. CDKL5 is one of 100 charities nominated for Big Break, which will donate £2,000 to the charity with the most votes. Click here to place a vote

And keep an eye out for representatives of CDKL5 UK at the Aviva Premiership clash with London Wasps at Welford Road next Sunday (April 14). They will be aiming to raise awareness of the charity and will stage bucket collections around the ground.
