Tigers needed two match points to guarantee a home play-off tie and scored five tries in victory to set up a showdown at Welford Road next weekend. Five try’s were scored by: Tom Croft, Ben Youngs, Matthew Tait, Vereniki Goneva and Toby Flood scored the fifth try, and added the rest of the points with a penalty and two conversions.
Six Tigers have been named in the British & Irish Lions squad; Tuilagi, Ben Youngs, Tom Youngs, Geoff Parling ,Croft, and Dan Cole!
The JTC VIP area had an lively atmosphere on Saturday, with everyone excited to see if Tigers could win to get into the semi-final. Adam Thompstone joined us in the JTC VIP area, he whipped up your favorite Crusha milkshakes and answered your questions. We found out he hangs put with George Ford and Ed Slater. The lucky winner of our JTC mascots draw on Saturday was Rebecca Lindley who was picked out by Adam Thompstone. Rebecca got the chance to run out onto the Welford Road pitch with Leicester Tigers captain Geordan Murphy. Our Tiger Cubs got the chance to copy Welford's new dance moves around the pitch and score a try in front of the roaring crowd!
Only four days till the semi-final at Welford Road on Saturday May 11st against Harlequins, Kick off 03:00pm. There is huge excitement for this match come on Tigers!
