Salvi and Youngs have enjoyed outstanding seasons in the Tigers pack. Salvi was voted Player of the Year by Tigers supporters while Youngs was recognised by his teammates as the Players’ Player of the Year.
Also shortlisted for the Computacenter Players' Player of the Year Award, as voted for by Aviva Premiership Rugby players, they are on a six-man shortlist at tonight’s Aviva Premiership Rugby Awards. They are joined by Steve Borthwick (Saracens), Danny Care (Harlequins), Akapusi Qera (Gloucester Rugby) and Christian Wade (London Wasps).
The winner will be announced tonight at the Aviva Premiership Rugby Awards at The Hilton, Park Lane, London.
Richard Cockerill has been shortlisted for the QBE Director of Rugby of the Season award. Winner of the award in 2008/09, Cockerill is joined in the nominations by Lyn Jones of London Welsh, Dai Young of London Wasps and Mark McCall of Saracens.
And tries by Dan Bowden and Manu Tuilagi have been shortlisted for the Guinness Try of the Season.
