Ben set for Aviva Premiership Final day lift-off

Ben Hardy will represent Tigers at Twickenham after winning the Leicester leg of the Aviva Premiership Rugby Trophy Tour.

Tigers fans were challenged to see who could lift the 15kg trophy the longest at the home Aviva Premiership game against Sale Sharks.

Ben held the trophy for one minute and 20 seconds during the lift-off in the Caterpillar Stand and was rewarded with a day out the Aviva Premiership Final, when he will take on the winners from the other 11 clubs in the ultimate Trophy Lift-off. The winner will have the honour of taking the Aviva Premiership trophy pitch-side before Tigers and Northampton Saints run out for the game.

“I never thought that I had a chance of winning to represent Tigers,” Ben from Queniborough said. “I keep myself fit and healthy going to the gym so hopefully I could add a few seconds to the time I managed to record in the first competition at Tigers.”

Each club winner received two top category tickets to the final and will compete before the match for the once in a lifetime opportunity to carry the Aviva Premiership Rugby Trophy pitch side, before the Leicester Tigers and Northampton Saints walk out onto the pitch.
