Big day guide for Tigers fans

Figure image
It's the biggest day of the season this Saturday as Leicester Tigers and Northampton Saints go head to head in the Aviva Premiership Final. Here is our matchday guide whether you are at Twickenham or following the action from elsewhere.

The Tigers Club Store at Welford Road is open from 8am, with Tigers Travel Club coaches scheduled to depart from the Tigers car park at 9am. Each coach will be numbered when it arrives and allocated a club steward. Check your ticket for coach number. Supporters are requested not to board until instructed to do so by the steward to help ensure boarding and departure is as efficient as possible.

Please arrive in good time as there will be 20 coaches leaving from the car park at Welford Road.

Note there will be no parking for supporters at the Tigers stadium. If you are travelling by coach, the nearest car park is at Raw Dykes Road, opposite Leicester City’s stadium, and parking there is £5 all day.

Four of the Arriva matchday buses will be running, with selected pick-up points on the way to joining coaches at Welford Road. Click here for route and booking details. These places must be booked via Arriva and not at the Tigers ticket office.

The Leicester Tigers Away Supporters’ Club coaches are fully booked and are scheduled to leave from Tigers Way next to Mandela Park at 8.30am. Please arrive in good time ahead of departure.

Please don’t forget your coach and match tickets!

You can check all the news – including teams from both camps – on the Tigers official club website before you leave. Teams are announced at lunchtime on Friday.

If you follow the club’s official Twitter account we’ll be tweeting a game of #TigerSpy to help pass the journey – whether you travel by bus, car or train – so keep a look out in your timeline for the questions and clues on Saturday from 8.30am.

The Tigers Maul – our roadshow vehicle – will be based at Twickenham and there will also be a Club Store outlet in the Supporters’ Village outside the stadium which will be open all the way through the build-up to the big game.

Have you photo taken in front of the Final backdrop, take part in the Speed Pass Challenge and have a photo with the Toby Flood cut-out and look like you're the cover star of a matchday programme. For young supporters, call in and collect a free Junior Tigers Club goodie bag.

The Aviva Premiership Fan Village at Twickenham Stadium is open from 11.30am until 7pm with activities and attractions for supporters of all ages. Click here for more details.

Once you enter the stadium, look out for your #littlethingsmatter messages to the teams on the screens in the build-up to the match and also for the ESPN interviews previewing the game ahead of kick-off.

Remember to show your colours in red, white and green! Tigers will be wearing the new home kit, with Saints in their alternative light blue.

Kick-off is at 3pm.

Tigers will be represented in a number of community activities inside the stadium and please give a big cheer for the Walk4Matt participants when they finish their week-long trek on behalf of the Matt Hampson Foundation.

If you’re not at the game we’ll have all the action through Twitter – using the #tigerslive hashtag – and Facebook, with a full match report on the Tigers club website after the final whistle.

Live TV coverage of the Final is supplied by ESPN and we’ll be showing the match on the big screens in the Final Whistle at Welford Road for supporters who are not travelling to Twickenham. The Final Whistle bar will be open for food and refreshments, and entry is free.

BBC Radio Leicester will also have build-up throughout the day and full match commentary on all platforms.

After the game please share your big day photos with us. Whether you are at the game or keeping up with the action from elsewhere, if you are wearing your club colours, send us your photos and we’ll upload them to the Tigers Digitial Diary on the Fanzone section of the club website.
