Residential Rugby Camp returns this summer

Figure image
Leicester Tigers will return to Bishop Burton College this summer to run their renowned residential Rugby Camp.

The camp, which runs from August 5-9, provides an outstanding opportunity for young and ambitious players who want to develop their game further and spend a week as an elite player.

Tigers coaches run a full week of coaching focussed on skill, game understanding and long-term athlete development.

The college’s Centre for Sport & Fitness is the focal point of their Sports Village which will host the Rugby Camp and accommodate the players. Facilities include a state-of-the-art fitness suite, 4G artificial turf pitch and outdoor grass pitches and sports hall.

During the camp, which is for players in under-13s to under-18s age groups for the 2013/14 season, players can expect to be pushed to the limit and challenged at every opportunity. Tigers coaches will help players progress and maximise their potential. Players will be continually assessed and evaluated with player feedback provided at the end of the week.

The Tigers Academy will be at Bishop Burton College, near Beverley in Yorkshire at the same time for their pre-season camp. Academy players will take part in formal Q&A sessions and there will also be the chance to chat to the Academy players informally during down time.

The residential Rugby Camp offers a great opportunity to see what it would be like to spend a week as an elite player in the Tigers Academy.

The rest of this year's Rugby Camps programme is taking shape, with tag and four and five-day events spread across the Tigers region featuring top-class coaching.
