The Leicester Tigers roadshow team were joined by hundreds of visitors on another busy weekend with The Maul.

It kicked off on Thursday at the RAF Benson Families’ Day, the home of 230 Squadron, also known as the ‘Tiger’ Squadron.

The families of personnel at RAF Benson were able to test their skills on the Speed Pass Challenge to win a pair of tickets to the opening game of the season against Worcester Warriors at Welford Road.

They also had their photos taken with the Aviva Premiership trophy and met club mascot Welford. Youngs fans collected a free Junior Tigers Club goody bag and adults signed up to free e-membership and received their own goody bag.

On Friday, Welford and the roadshow team were at Stamford School for the Stamford Masters, which saw an England Masters XI take on an All Star Masters XI. Some of the biggest names in world cricket in recent years took part, including Mark Ramprakash, Gladstone Small and Andy Caddick, and there was also a children’s Kwik Cricket tournament.

Tigers unveiled the Crazy Catch for the first time at a roadshow event. It challenges people to catch a junior rugby ball off a rebound net as many times as possible in 30 seconds, with the winner managing it 48 times in the time frame!

The Heckington Show opened its gates to Tigers on Saturday and Sunday. The Heckington Show Heckington Show is the largest village show in England with events over the weekend including athletics, show jumping and trade stands.

The Maul is back on the road again this weekend at the Nottingham Riverside Festival (Friday, August 2 to Sunday, August 4). Come and join the team for lots of fun and activities – and don’t forget to have your photo taken with the Aviva Premiership trophy.

As well as Tigers, festival highlights include free art activities in the Children's Zone, live music stages, Street theatre, a street fair, global craft stalls, trade stands and a display of traditional steam engines and organs.
