Steele was part of the Tigers squad that won the LV= Cup semi-final at the home of Bath Rugby in 2012.
The scrum-half came off the bench at The Rec for his first appearance in the LV= Cup as Tigers secured a 17-16 victory on their way to winning the Anglo-Welsh competition.
Steele, who captains the Tigers team, says: “I managed to get off the bench for Tigers against Bath in the semi-final of the LV= Cup there and we managed to go through.
“I’ve got some good memories of playing there. It is a really good pitch and I’m looking forward to playing there again.”
He adds: I just want more of the same for us and if we go out there, and play with a bit of freedom, we might be able to get a few wins but let's see how it goes.”
Steele will come up against former Tigers back-rower Richard De Carpentier, when Tigers and Worcester Warriors meet in the opening game.
"I get on with a lot of the boys at Leicester well and it will be good to see a few friendly faces again,” de Carpentier says
"They didn't have a great history in the tournament either as they usually take a lot of younger lads but we will see what team they bring on Friday and hopefully we can both be competitive."
