Want to see some real trickery with a rugby ball? Come down to Tigers In The Park on the opening day of the new season and see a world champion in action.

Andrew Henderson, World FreeStyle Champion and four-time UK Freestyle Champion, will be on main stage demonstrating some amazing skills with a rugby ball. And he’s hosting some workshops too so supporters can try for themselves.

If you haven’t seen Andrew’s Freestyle skills before, take a look by clicking here. Then come down to Tigers In The Park on Sunday, September 8 and see it for real.

Leicester Tigers begin the defence of the Aviva Premiership Rugby title with a home game against Worcester Warriors in Round One on September 8 and we are making this a big family occasion with Tighers In The Park based in Nelson Mandela Park opposite the stadium, with lots of attractions and activities in the build-up to kick-off.

Among the attractions are:

  • Live music from main stage headliners Funks Soul Brother and The Atlantics with more main stage entertainment to be added soon.
  • Lemon Jelly dance crew on our main stage.
  • Fun zone and rugby skills zone featuring jungle agility run and bungee run inflatable.
  • Test your rugby skills from passing accuracy and speed to seeing whether you can match our players with your tackle technique in the skill zone.
  • Free activities including Tiger bouncy inflatable, rugby ball rodeo simulator and carnival stalls (featuring coconut shy, high striker and human buzzwire)
  • StubHub, the Tigers official marketplace, will be offering prizes for our Speed Pass challenge and community sponsors Mark Group are running a kicking challenge.
  • Try your hand at the circus workshop
  • The Royal Air Force Association, one of the club’s official main charities for 2013/14 will be joining us and providing activities and opportunities to learn about what it is they do.
  • Exclusive grounds tour for supporters. Places are limited so sign up as quickly as you can by clicking here.
