Young players had their eyes on the prize at the weekend when the Aviva Premiership trophy made a surprise visit to their rugby club.

Tigers took the trophy to Leicester Forest in Hinckley Road, Leicester Forest East on Sunday, where it was a busy morning for the club’s minis and juniors section. Visiting teams included sides from Oadby Wyggestonians, Market Harborough and Newark.

Players, parents and officials were able to have their photograph taken with the trophy, which Tigers won at Twickenham in May.

Tigers will return to Leicester Forest during the October half-term (October 21-25) when the club hosts a Tigers Rugby Camp. Rob Hawkins, who has been a hooker at the top level for the best part of a decade, and Jamie Gibson, who was part of the England tour to South Africa in 2012, are due to drop-in for a Q&A.

Tigers Rugby Camps are also at Oakham School (October 21-25) when New Zealand international Scott Hamilton and England Saxon Ed Slater are due to visit for a Q&A and to pass on their tips. Oakham School will also host a three-day tag rugby camp for under-sevens and under-eights players (October 21-23).

Tigers return to Holland to run a camp at the British School in the Netherlands for a fourth successive year (October 21-25), which also hosts a tag camp.

Chesterfield Panthers RUFC in Derbyshire hosts a Tigers Rugby Camp for the first time (October 28-November1) when England Under-20s international Ryan Bower and England and Lions centre Manu Tuilagi are due to be the visitors.

Tuilagi's Tigers, England and Lions teammate Tom Croft is due to visit the camp at Wymondham RFC in Norfolk (October 28-November 1) to talk about his life in rugby. Wymondham, which is hosting a Tigers Rugby Camp for the first time, will also host a tag camp.

Tigers Rugby Camps are supported by energy efficiency experts Mark Group. They give under-nines to under-16s players in contact rugby the chance to experience top-quality rugby coaching in a professional environment. The tag rugby camps are for under-sevens and under-eights players.
Coaching is provided by the Tigers community coaching team alongside some of Tigers' top senior academy coaches and players past and present, including former captain and coach Ian 'Dosser' Smith, ex hooker Troy Thacker and two-time Heineken Cup winner Glenn Gelderbloom.

The camps run closely to the Tigers Academy and youth rugby programme. Each player will also receive a match ticket to an allocated home game, a hot lunch, a Tigers Rugby Camp T-shirt, rugby ball and drinks bottle and free membership to the Junior Tigers Club.

Click here to book a place, phone the Tigers ticket office on 0844 856 1880 (option 2) or visit the ticket office at Welford Road. The office is open 8.30am-5pm every weekday, until 8pm Wednesdays and 9am-5pm Saturdays.
