All to play for in Aviva Premiership 'A' League

There is all to play for in the Aviva Premiership A League with the Leicester Tigers Development XV firmly in the mix for a place in the semi-finals.

Tigers, ‘A’ League winners in 2010 and again in 2011, secured a second successive victory in the competition on Monday night with a 32-0 win at Worcester Cavaliers. Harry Thacker scored a brace of tries at Sixways and there were also scores for Henry Purdy, Perry Humphreys and Will Owen.

The result moved Tigers joint second in the Northern Conference with one game remaining, at home to Sale Jets on Monday, October 28. Northampton Wanderers lead the table and play second placed Gloucester United on the same date at Franklin’s Gardens. The top two teams qualify for the semi-finals.

Victory for Tigers would almost certainly secure a place in the ‘A’ League semi-finals while Sale, who lie fourth in the table, can also finish in the top two with victory.

In the Southern Conference, Bath United top the table ahead of Exeter Braves with Saracens Storm and Harlequins in joint third.

Season ticket holders can gain free admission to all 'A' League fixtures at Welford Road on production of your season ticket card. You will also have received a voucher via email so friends or family can claim free entry too.

For all other supporters, admission is £5 adults, £1 juniors, payable at the Tigers ticket office on your way into the game.

All supporters will be accommodated in the Holland & Barrett Stand on Monday. The ABC Bar will be open for hot and cold refreshments.
