Tigers took a losing bonus point from a 22-16 defeat to Ulster Rugby in their opening game of this season’s Heineken Cup on Friday night.
Mulipola opened the scoring for Tigers with a sixth minute try and said the squad were disappointed not to make more of their good start.
“The boys were disappointed,” said Mulipola. “We started well and managed to score a try. I am happy with the try but we were disappointed not to win.
“We back each other and everyone helped each other. We defended well and felt we could have got something more from the game.
“But we’ve got our first point and that could be really important in the pool. We have to back it up now in front of our own fans against Treviso.”
Tigers kick-off their home campaign at Welford Road this Friday night against Benetton Treviso (8pm).
