Tigers reach Movember milestone

The Leicester Tigers team has already been pledged more than £1,000 for their Movember fundraising efforts.

Tigers players and supporters are joining forces to do their bit for men’s health by growing a moustache during November.

Movember is a worldwide charity drive that is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men's faces during the month. The aim is to raise funds and awareness for men's health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

Jordan Crane is captain of the Tigers team which has so far raised just over £1,300. It also includes David Mele, Ed Slater and Sam Harrison. Dozens of Tigers fans have also signed up to the team with David Edmunds, Richard Carter, Chris James and James Hoggarth high up the fundraising list.

Crane said: "Movember has only just started so we're delighted to reach the £1,000 milestone already. It's great to have so many fans getting involved and coming on board, and we're really grateful for everyone's support.

"There is still plenty of time for supporters to join the team - the more the merrier. We are a family club and want to get as many people as possible involved. Come and join us and help raise awareness and some money for charity."
