Leicester Tigers chairman Peter Tom CBE received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Leicester Mercury Business Executive of the Year event on Thursday evening.
Executive chairman of quarry group Breedon Aggregates and chairman of Tigers since 1993, Tom was recognised at the event attended by more than 350 business and community leaders.

The award was accepted in his absence by Tigers executive director Peter Wheeler.
Stephen Gould, managing director of Everards Brewery who have been long-time supporters of the Tigers, received the award as Leicester Mercury Business Executive of the Year.
