Voting open for Goldsmiths Player of the Month

Voting is now open for the Goldsmiths Player of the Month for February with Jamie Gibson, Matt Smith and Blaine Scully on the award shortlist.

Tigers supporters can place their vote via the Goldsmiths Facebook page by clicking here.

Back-rower Gibson has firmly established himself as an important member of the squad in his first season at Tigers following a summer move from London Irish, proving a valuable presence in the loose and in the set-piece. He started wins over Worcester and Gloucester in the opening half of the month and will hope to carry his impressive form into next Sunday’s game against his former club.

The dependable Smith is approaching 150 appearances for the club and has slotted back into the midfield alongside Anthony Allen, where his workrate and defence are a feature of the Tigers backline.

USA international Scully played a prominent part in Vereniki Goneva’s vital second try in the win at Worcester, then showed his defensive strength with a very timely catch to break up a Gloucester threat in the closing moments of last Sunday’s win at Welford Road.

They will each be aiming to follow previous winners Vereniki Goneva, Dan Bowden, Graham Kitchener, Tom Youngs and Owen Williams as a Goldsmiths Player of the Month.

The Tigers Player of the Month award is supported by Goldsmiths, the largest prestige and luxury jewellers in the UK, who are also official East Stand sponsors and official timekeepers.
