Leicester Tigers forward Owen Hills has been included in the England Under-18 squad for a match against Scotland on Sunday.

This game is England’s first international of the season as the squad builds towards the annual FIRA/AER European Championship in April.

Loosehead prop Hills, a Tigers Academy player and student at Queen Elizabeth Wyggeston College on Welford Road, is included among 13 forwards in a 24-man squad selected by coaches John Fletcher and Peter Walton.

England beat Scotland in both meetings last season but Fletcher says that Sunday’s game at Hamilton RFC promises to be a tough encounter.

He said: “We have trained well together and head up there full of confidence. We are always looking for the players and the squad to perform to their potential and put the things that we have worked on in training into the game.”

Scotland against England is a noon kick-off on Sunday.
