Leicester Tigers will welcome the players, coaches and supporters of six young teams from around the region for Finals Day in the Prima Tiger Cup and Prima Tiger Bowl this weekend.

The six teams of players in the under-10s age-group will be able to follow in the footsteps of rugby legends at Welford Road on the same day as the Tigers match against Exeter Chiefs in the Aviva Premiership on Sunday.

Now in its 20th season, the Prima Tiger Cup is supported by Prima Solutions of Loughborough and is open to under-10s teams from across the country.

This year more than 70 teams played in the regional tournaments in the biggest-ever prima Tiger Cup and many of them have since being invited to Welford Road to showcase their skills ahead of a first-team game.

On Sunday we welcome back teams from Haywards Heath, Nottingham Corsairs, North Walsham and Market Harborough for the Prima Tiger Cup semi-finals, with Nuneaton and Oadby Wyggestonian joining us for the Prima Tiger Bowl Final.

Tigers’ head of community, Scott Clarke, says: “This year has beaten all previous records for teams enjoying the Prima Tiger Cup. They have all shown a great enthusiasm for the game and the true spirit of rugby in the junior clubs.
“The continued support of Prima Solutions Ltd has been crucial to allowing us to continue to build this amazing tournament. We wish all six teams joining us on Sunday the very best of luck for the day and for the rest of their season.”
