As Leicester Riders beat the Manchester Giants 90-85 at the John Sandford Centre in a close encounter, Everards invited Tigers players to show their support.
Players Jordan Crane, Julian Salvi, Geoff Parling, Thomas Waldrom and assistant coach Richard Blaze were their guests at the game and also took part in a half-time shoot-out, losing narrowly to Riders Legends.
Russell Levenston, managing director of Leicester Riders, said: “We are thrilled that Everards and their guests had such an enjoyable evening and we are delighted that they were able to bring the Leicester Tigers and strengthen the links between Everards sports partners.”
Erika Hardy, head of marketing at Everards, said: “We would like to thank the Leicester Tigers for joining us on the night and the Leicester Riders for hosting our sponsored game in an eventful evening where they got a great result. This was a fantastic opportunity for us to create a ‘sports hub’, a community to build and share ideas on best practices and promoting their place in Leicestershire.”
Everards have a long history of supporting local sport and were delighted to celebrate this with local fans. The Riders are the latest addition to Everards list of sports partners which include the Tigers, Leicester Squash Club and Alliance Football League.
