Leicester Tigers are delighted to have played a part in Tickets For Troops reaching a milestone after the military charity donated their 500,000th ticket.

Tigers have supported Tickets For Troops by donating tickets to every home game for the last for seasons.

Tickets For Troops have shared in some huge Welford Road occasions, including Aviva Premiership semi-finals, Heineken Cup clashes and the international fixture with the Maori All Blacks.

Lord Marland, Tickets For Troops chairman, said: “To have reached this fantastic milestone of 500,000 donated tickets in such a short time is an achievement that all of us are very proud of but it would not have been possible without the very generous support of the many organisations, sports clubs, governing bodies, theatres and other venues and many, many individuals.”

Lance Corporal Louize Watson of 22 Signal Regiment was presented with the 500,000th ticket by Prime Minister David Cameron and England football manager Roy Hodgson ahead of the England vs Peru World Cup warm-up match at Wembley on Friday.

Lance Corporal Watson said: “Tickets For Troops is a big help to everyone within the military. They are a fabulous organisation who give so many opportunities to troops and their families.”
