A family of season ticket holders enjoyed a school visit from Welford as part of their ultimate Leicester Tigers competition prize.

The Tigers mascot joined Jamie and Tegan Kettle at Redmoor Academy in Hinckley after they and parents David and Claire, season ticket holders in the MET-Rx Stand, won the StubHub Ultimate Season Ticket Experience.

Their once-in-a-lifetime prize to see behind the scenes at Tigers began with VIP matchday hospitality at the home Aviva Premiership clash with London Wasps, when they were presented to a capacity Welford Road during half-time.

The second part of their prize saw them chauffeur-driven from their home in Hinckley to Tigers' Oval Park training ground, where they were given an exclusive tour by club legend George Chuter. They watched training with a commentary from Chuter before enjoying lunch with the squad.

They then saw behind the scenes at a Tigers press day as Chuter, on the day of his retirement, spoke to the media about his decision to call time on an illustrious playing career.

The prize continued at the End of Year Awards when they presented Vereniki Goneva with his Player of the Year gong.

And it concluded on Tuesday when Jamie, Tegan and mum Claire received a visit from club mascot Welford as Redmoor Academy hosted local high schools Mount Grace, Hastings, St Martins, Heathfield and Market Bosworth for the annual Westfield Athletics Competition.

The Tigers roadshow team also took along the Speed Pass Challenge and Crazy Catch game for the pupils to enjoy and answered their rugby-related questions.

The competition was run in conjunction with StubHub, the Official Ticket Marketplace of Leicester Tigers. Season ticket holders can list their seats on StubHub for Welford Road matches in the 2014/15 season they cannot attend.

A season ticket is the only way to guarantee your place at Welford Road for all Tigers’ home games in the 2014/15 campaign.
