Leicester Tigers will join General Electric, sponsors of the big screen at Welford Road, for a family day of games and activities this weekend.

The GE Family Fun Day at St Andrew’s Rugby Club in Rugby is one of two events the roadshow team will attend this Saturday, with Tigers also joining the visitors to the Leicestershire County Show in Melton Mowbray.

The big screen has been a popular addition to matchdays at Welford Road thanks to a partnership between Tigers and GE, an international corporation working on finding solutions in energy, health and home, transportation and finance active in 130 countries.

The Maul, the Tigers roadshow vehicle, will join in the fun at St Andrew’s from midday. Visitors can try their hand at the Speed Pass Challenge, with two tickets to the opening game of the Aviva Premiership season up for grabs for the winner.

There will be a chance to capture a special Tigers picture in front of one of three backgrounds in the photobooth or grab a #welfie with club mascot Welford and share it via Twitter or Instagram.

Young Tigers fans can sign up to the Junior Tigers Club for free and receive a Tigers flag and a #Tigesfamily wristband.

Older supporters can take up e-membership and also receive some Tigers goodies, including a car sticker, a pen and a #Tigersfamily wristband.

Join the Tigers team at the Leicestershire County Show for the Smash-o-meter and Crazy Catch and the chance to sign up to the Junior Tigers Club and for e-memberships.

The highest Smash-o-meter score will win a junior Tigers home shirt.

The Melton Cattle Market stages the Leicestershire County Show on Saturday (9am-5pm). Entry is free. Click here for more show details.

The Maul was at Melton on Sunday as the roadshow team joined hundreds of visitors to the Melton Mowbray Country Fair.

Tigers mascot Welford launched the Melton Swimming Club Duck Race and tried his paws at jousting and pizza-making.

Welford was also part of the roadshow team that visited Coalville Motorfest on Saturday. Robert Parry, 14, won a junior Tigers home shirt after posting the fastest time on the Speed Pass Challenge.

Tigers will return to Melton and Coalville later this summer with our Rugby Camps. Coalville RFC hosts Tigers coaches, including club legend George Chuter, from July 14-18 which includes a three half-day tag rugby camp for younger players.

And Melton RFC is the venue for a rugby camp from July 21-25, which also includes a three-day tag camp.
