The sun has been shining on Welford Road for the first day of the Leicester Music Festival.
Music fans have been partying to the sounds of Katy B, Billy Ocean and Aswad and the dance skills of Diversity – and there’s plenty more to come this evening.
Soul II Soul, Professor Green and headliner Tinie Tempah round off day one before attention turns to tomorrow's acts, which include headliner Labrinth.
Tickets are available on the gates at Welford Road for people leaving work on Friday evening and wanting to join the party.

Saturday’s bill is headlined by Labrinth and features The Saturdays, Diversity, Kool and the Gang as well as Union J, Sam Bailey and UB40. The Real Thing, Hannah Boleyn, Stereo Nation and Formal Warning are also performing.
