Leicester Tigers will kick-off their pre-season fixtures against East Midlands neighbours Nottingham Rugby on Saturday, August 16.
The game will be played at Lady Bay Sports Ground, Nottingham’s training ground, in West Bridgford, kicking off at 3pm. It is the first time the two teams have met since the summer of 2012.
Chris Simon, Nottingham Rugby operations director, said: “Meadow Lane is a great facility for professional rugby, but unfortunately, the ground was unavailable for this particular weekend during pre-season. We had the opportunity for a match against Leicester and were extremely keen not to let this one go by. We looked at a couple of venues, but decided that playing at Lady Bay was the best all round.
“We’ve hosted matches here before, the last being the league game against Leeds in 2013. It’s a great community facility and enables us to create a really traditional rugby experience.”

Advance tickets are priced at £12 adults and £6 for children. Fans are encouraged to buy in advance as Lady Bay has a limited ground capacity.
It is the fourth confirmed pre-season fixture for Richard Cockerill’s men, who head to Melrose RFC to play Edinburgh Rugby on Saturday, August 23 (2pm) and host a double-header against Doncaster Knights (5pm) and Cardiff Blues (7.30pm) at Welford Road on Friday, August 29.
Admission to the Welford Road double header is included in Tigers season tickets. Tickets for all other supporters go on sale at the Tigers ticket office next Tuesday. Prices are £20 adult seating, £10 adult terrace, £5 under-16s.
