Leicester Tigers will kick off the new European Rugby Champions Cup with a home game against Ulster Rugby on Saturday, October 18.
After starting an 18th season in European competition with a Saturday evening encounter against Ulster, Tigers have another 7.45pm fixture away to the Scarlets in Llanelli a week later.
The eagerly-anticipated home fixture against double European champions Toulon – and former Tigers front-row favourite Martin Castrogiovanni – is on the opening weekend in December.
After the back-to-back fixtures with Toulon – Tigers are in the south of France on the weekend of December 12/13/14 – Round 5 is at home to the Scarlets in January, with the last game of the pool stages featuring a trip to the new-look Ravenhill in Belfast for the Ulster return fixture.
Following negotiations with the broadcasters, competition organisers European Professional Club Rugby have today announced the order of fixtures for all five pools in the new 20-team elite tournament, with confirmed dates and times for the opening two rounds in October.
Details for Rounds 3-4 are expected to be finalised shortly, with Rounds 5-6 confirmed after the completion of the December fixtures.
Match tickets for all three homes games in Europe will go on sale to season ticket holders requiring extra tickets and to members from Monday (August 18) at the Tigers ticket office.
Tickets will go on general sale to all other supporters from Wednesday (August 20).
