Please be aware of important changes to your exit from Welford Road after Saturday's match
Supporters may have noticed new pedestrian control barriers outside the stadium after the match at the pre-season friendly. These have been put in place in conjunction with the City Council, and working with the Safety Advisory Group, as a safety measure to prevent pedestrians and traffic mixing in an uncontrolled fashion.
These measures will be in place again after our match with Newcastle Falcons on Saturday. There will also be additional stewards on duty and a re-phasing of the traffic light sequence around the stadium, allowing more time for pedestrians to move away from Welford Road at the end of the game. All supporters are advised to please use the pedestrian crossings around the stadium and to be patient while the new system is implemented.
