Leicester Tigers have confirmed the addition of Big Bear Confectionery to the list of official club sponsors.
Leicester-based Big Bear Confectionery is the name behind iconic brands including XXX Mints, Paynes Poppets, Just Brazils and Fox’s Glacier Mints.
The original Fox’s Confectionery was founded in Leicester in 1880, the same year as Leicester Tigers, and still manufacture in the city, employing 200 local people.
Matt Baker, sales and marketing director for Big Bear, said: “We are thrilled to be supporting Leicester Tigers this season with XXX Extra Strong Mints. The Tigers will help to give us a national profile for one of our most popular brands, as well as a local focus for our employees here in Leicester.”
Ross Stanley, head of trade marketing at Big Bear, added: “We’ve already had some very positive feedback from our retail partners with regard to this partnership and we’re looking forward to building on that in the future.
“We’ve also had a great reaction from our staff in Braunstone where we know we have a number of Leicester Tigers fans.”

As dressing-room sponsors, the XXX Mints branding will appear on the walls and floor of the Tigers dressing room at Welford Road throughout the season.
