Student Jordan Golding is looking forward to a fabulous trip to Oktoberfest 2015 after winning a competition run by club sponsors STIHL.

Jordan was drawn out of the hat at Friday’s Aviva Premiership fixture with Harlequns as the winner of the trip for four to Munich’s world-famous Oktoberfest, the annual fair which is attended by more than six million people from across the world.

The 19-year-old was among a group from Loughborough University who had attended the game to celebrate their friend Harry Spencer’s birthday.

Jordan, an automotive engineering student, was watching the game from the Holland & Barrett Terrace when his name was read out during the half-time break.

The prize is worth £3,000 and Jordan, who is from Stratford upon Avon, said: “We got to Welford Road early and were taking part in the games, the tackle bag, the kicking and that sort of thing before the game when someone came up to us to enter the competition.

“It was in a bit of a shock to win. To be honest, I wasn’t really listening when the draw was made and my friends started going crazy.

“I’ve never been to the Oktoberfest before – I can’t wait to go. I’ll look to take Henry, whose birthday it was as he got me my ticket to start with! My friends haven’t really mentioned – maybe I’ll keep a scorecard to work out who I’ll take!”

The competition formed part of the pre-match entertainment at Friday’s STIHL Oktoberfest and was entered by around 4,000 supporters online and on the night of the game.
