Tigers off to a winning start in Europe!

Figure image
The JTC VIP Area was full of junior members on Saturday night as Leicester Tigers kicked-off their European campaign with a solid victory over Ulster Rugby.

After 2 hours of junior members taking advantage of the free activities on offer in the JTC VIP Area, they made their way to their seats to witness Leicester Tigers win 25-18 in their first match of the new European Rugby Champions Cup.

Neil Briggs and Seremaia Bai made a star appearance for the question and answer session, we found out that they both started playing rugby at the age of 10, Seremaia has smelly socks and Neil gave us his rendition of Frozen! After one of the funniest question and answer sessions we've had all season the draws for Tiger Cub, matchday mascot and Challenge Welford were made before everyone made their way to their seats to watch the match.

Half-time saw the first girl to Challenge Welford this season as Natasha Bateman took on Welford in an Agility Course. Natasha started brilliantly by hopping over the hurdles, shuffling through the ladders and around the cone and back. The crowd cheered as Welford caught her up, but Natasha was just too fast and crossed the line to a huge applause from the Welford Road crowd. Well done Natasha! Natasha has won her very on JTC t-shirt and next voucher for her great performance.

The next home game is against the Barbarians on Tuesday, November 4, 7:30pm kick-off. The JTC VIP Area will be open from 5:30pm, so make sure you come down and make the most of the free activities and enter the Tiger Cub, matchday mascot and Challenge Welford draws. Also make sure you stay around after the match for the firwork display!

See you soon!
