Leicester Tigers have welcomed the club's 15,000th season ticket holders for the 2014/15 season to Welford Road.

For a third successive year Tigers have raised the club record number for season ticket sales, with the figure topping the 15,000 mark on Saturday ahead of kick-off in the Aviva Premiership Round 9 victory over Wasps.

Father and daughter Andrew and Amber Essex from Leicester called at the Welford Road ticket office in the build-up to the game to purchase a Tigers Ticket Taster and secure their place at the last six home fixtures of the season in the new year.

They were identified at the 15,000th season ticket holders and were handed a Tigers goodie bag as well as their season ticket cards.

Tigers chief executive Simon Cohen said: “This club has a fanbase spread across the UK and beyond, and the Tigers Family continues to grow. To have 15,000 supporters committed to season tickets is a fabulous tribute to all of those supporters and also to the club.

“The loyalty and the passion of the Tigers support is a huge factor in what makes this such a special rugby club and it is known throughout rugby.

“We work hard to try to provide the best possible matchday experience at Welford Road and to ensure those supporters feel a big part of the club.”

Tigers Tickets Tasters are available now, securing your place for the final six home games of the regular season, including league and cup derbies against Northampton Saints and Aviva Premiership matches against Gloucester Rugby, Sale Sharks, Exeter Chiefs and London Welsh. Prices are from just £105 adults, £50 juniors, making this the perfect Christmas treat for any supporter or gift for family and friends.

The Ticket taster comes in a gift pack with a welcome message from club captain Ed Slater.
