Leicester Tigers will hit an historic landmark on Sunday when the club's European attendances top the one million mark.

Two-time European champions Tigers have played in front of crowds totalling 981,309 in home games during European competition and, with more than 20,000 tickets already sold for Sunday’s visit of Toulon, that will reach seven figures this weekend.

Tigers are the only club to play in Europe’s elite competition in every year of English participation since 1996/97 – when they went all the way to their first final – and will reach the one million attendance mark in the club’s 61st home match this Sunday.

They join a very select band as only the fourth club – after fellow former winners Leinster, Munster and Toulouse – to reach the one million landmark.

Tigers have this week announced a record 15,000 season ticket sales for 2014/15 and expect another bumper crowd for the visit of double European champions Toulon on Sunday (5.30pm).

Tickets are still available from the Tigers ticket office. Call in at Welford Road or phone 0116 319 8888 (option). The office is open 8.30am-5pm weekdays, until 8pm Wednesdays, 9am-5pm Saturdays and from 9am on Sunday this week.
