Hundreds of Scouts joined us in the JTC VIP Area at Welford Road on Saturday as Leicester Tigers beat Wasps 18-16.
Over 500 Scouts from all around Leicestershire came down to Welford Road on Saturday, November 29 and made the most of the free activities on offer in the JTC VIP Area and outside on the plaza. After a tightly fought contest on the field Leicester Tigers came out eventual winners against Wasps and overtake them to joint 4th in the Premiership table.
Aniseko Sio and Logovi'i Mulipola made a special guest appearance for the player question and answer session in the JTC VIP Area before the match, we learned that Logo enjoys playing for Tigers because he loves winning and Aniseko's favorite food is steak. They also both agreed that Fraser Balmain is the smelliest player in the squad! After the Q&A the competition draws were made and our matchday mascot's were Evie and Hettie Mann and the Tiger Cubs were Hannah Cross, Jacob Ariss, Alexander and Edward Perrin.
Yazmin Bath was the lucky winner of Challenge Welford and got to come down on to the pitch at half-time and take on Welford in an Ultim8 Warrior obstacle course. Yazmin crawled under netting, ran across balance beams, over a climbing wall and dodged Thor with a giant hammer at the end to pip Welford under the posts and win! She won her very own JTC t-shirt and £25 next gift voucher, congratulations Yazmin!
Leicester Tigers are back in action on Sunday, December 7 when they take on RC Toulon in the European Champions Cup, 5:30pm kick off. There is also a Christmas Market opening at 1:30pm so make sure you come down and visit Santa's grotto and feed the reindeer!
