LV= Cup: All to play for in Round 4

Figure image
With one round of action remaining in the LV= Cup pool stages, three of the four semi-final places are still up for grabs.Exeter Chiefs have already booked their place in the last four, while six clubs – including Leicester Tigers – are chasing the remaining places.   Tigers top Pool 3, four points ahead of Wasps. Tigers also have three wins to one by Wasps so cannot be overtaken on that criteria if the two sides finish level on points.   If Tigers take at least a point at Cardiff, or if Wasps fail to win with a bonus point at Northampton on the same day, then Tigers will be confirmed as pool winners, with semi-final ranking dependent on other pools.   A win away to Cardiff Blues would guarantee Tigers a home semi-final regardless of results elsewhere.   If teams in the same pool are level on points, finishing order is determined by match points total, then number of wins, then tries scored and then points difference.   The pool winners are ranked 1-4 by the same criteria with the top two in the rankings given home advantage in the semi-finals next month.   Click here for the LV= Cup pool standings   Round 4 fixtures Saturday Sale Sharks v Scarlets (2.00pm) Cardiff Blues v Leicester Tigers (2.30pm) Bath Rugby v Ospreys (3.00pm) Gloucester Rugby v Harlequins (3.00pm) London Irish v Newcastle Falcons (3.00pm) Northampton Saints v Wasps (3.15pm) Sunday Newport Gwent Dragons v London Welsh (2.30pm) Saracens v Exeter Chiefs (3.00pm)
