This fantastic Tigers-inspired pork pie has been produced by Leicestershire-based Samworth Brothers.Weighing in at more than 7lbs, the pie took pride of place at a Business Breakfast at Welford Road on Thursday morning, attended by 1880 Club members, executive box holders and player sponsors.
Samworth Brothers produce the award-winning Walker & Son pork pies, and hope the specially-made pie will satisfy the appetite of the Tigers.
The pastry-topping features the Tigers club crest and the words Leicester Tigers RFC, complete with a set of rugby posts.
“It is made from our traditional Walkers recipe,” said export executive Henry Bowles said. “It will feed a lot of people – and probably one player!”
