Matchday guide: Tigers versus Gloucester

Start your weekend at Welford Road when Leicester Tigers host Gloucester Rugby in an Aviva Premiership Round 14 fixture this Friday. Kick-off is at 7.45pm and tickets are available now.Both teams are chasing the points to push on in the challenge for places in the top four and the semi-finals, and with only nine games remaining in the league season the stakes are high.   Tigers give a league debut to centre George Catchpole and there is a first call-up to Jack Roberts, while Logovi’i Mulipola, Marcos Ayerza, Graham Kitchener, Julian Salvi, Freddie Burns and Mathew Tait are among the senior players in the matchday squad.   Final Whistle, turnstiles, food kiosks and all bars open from 5.45pm at Welford Road.   The Junior Tigers Club area in Final Whistle is also open from 5.45pm with activities for young supporters, including the opportunity to run out as a Tiger Cub or even matchday mascot. JTC membership is free and you can sign up at Welford Road or on the club website.   If this is your first Tigers matchday – or you are bringing someone new – there is a chance to win a great prize too. As part of the ‘My First Matchday’ you can sign up a first-time visitor by clicking here or speak to a Games Keeper at the stadium and you will go into a prize draw to win a bag of Tigers goodies. First-time visitors can also pick up a My First Matchday certificate signed by club captain Ed Slater from Games Keepers who form part of the customer services team.   Supporters can take part in the 2015/16 season ticket campaign by filming their ‘I believe in Leicester Tigers’ message at The Maul on the plaza outside the MET-Rx Stand. A selection of ‘I believe’ films will be shown on the big screens inside the stadium.   Land Rover, Official Vehicle of Premiership Rugby, are inviting owners to join them in their pre-match hospitality area in front of the MET-Rx Stand from 5.45pm. In addition, fans have a chance to see new Discovery Sport, and you have a chance to win the use of Land Rover's hospitality box at Twickenham for this season's Aviva Premiership Final.   This is our Valentine’s themed matchday, with carnival games on the plaza, a kiss cam in the stadium and a special game of Mr & Mrs on the pitch at half-time. There is a pop-up shop on the plaza and merchandise units inside the MET-Rx Stand after the turnstiles have opened.   This week’s matchday programme includes an interview with some of the torchbearers from the Tigers youth team and academy system, plus Matt Hampson’s Heroes & Villains column, the Junior Tigers Club pages and all the news and views from inside Welford Road. The 100-page programme is on sale throughout the stadium, price £3.   Arriva’s special matchday bus services are in operation on five routes, from Market Bosworth, Market Harborough, Melton Mowbray, Oakham and Nuneaton, and there is also a minibus service from Coalville. Click here for pick-up points, timetable and fare details.   East Midlands Trains have also confirmed a late local train from Leicester to Nottingham with stops at Syston, Sileby, Barrow on Soar and Loughborough, leaving at 10.20pm.   After the match, you can stay and listen to resident band Rock Bottom in Final Whistle.   Friday’s match is included in Tigers season tickets and free senior upgrades on junior tickets are available for this fixture if kick-off is too late for young supporters.
