Leicester Tigers made it an unforgettable date night for Lucy Brands when she was presented to a big Welford Road crowd as the winner of My First Matchday. My First Matchday aims to give first-time visitors to the home of Tigers a memorable experience – and that’s just what happened to Lucy, 23, who received a Tigers goodie bag at half-time of Friday’s game against Gloucester Rugby.
Lucy, from Stafford, was visiting Welford Road for the first time on a date with her fiancé Jordan Hyland.
She said: “It was a Christmas present from my fiancé. It’s a date every month for a year and a trip to Welford Road was my February date.
It’s amazing. I have been a fan of rugby and it is great to see it live.”
Sign up a first-time visitor now at leicestertigers.com/myfirstmatchday or on matchday with a Games Keeper and they will be put into a prize draw to win a bag of Tigers goodies.
First-time visitors can also pick up a My First Matchday certificate signed by club captain Ed Slater from Games Keepers.
Games Keepers are members of the Tigers customer services team who are stationed on the plaza in front of the MET-Rx stand and around the ground on matchdays to lend a helping hand, to promote Tigers family traditions and to support fans to ensure everyone has a great day out.
Why not find a Games Keeper at the next Tigers home game against Sale Sharks in the Aviva Premiership on Saturday, February 28 and #Getcaptured for the chance to get your photo shown on the Big Screen, on Tigers' social media pages and in the matchday programme.
Match tickets to Tigers versus Sale are available now. Call in at Welford Road, phone 0116 319 8888 (option 2) or click here to book online - you can also use the new print at home facility for tickets bought online. The game is included on the Tigers season ticket.
