Just six games remain in the regular league season and it's time for supporters to start their calculations on where their team will finish in the table. With fixtures against the top four and the bottom two to come, boss Richard Cockerill says the Tigers’ destiny is in their own hands. “All we can do is try to keep winning,” he says.
It is a mouth-watering prospect in the tightest Premiership title race ever, with each team in the top seven or eight waiting for their neighbours to flinch and make a mistake.
The Tig is not alone in trying to best-guess a return from those six games. What is certain is that Tigers territory will have to be defended totally and a team with one of the best away records in the competition will have to maintain that form on the road at least three more times.
In such a tight competition, though, it is impossible to predict what each weekend will bring elsewhere.
Spare a thought for bottom-of-the-table London Welsh, with one point to their name so far and their remaining fixtures against the teams currently occupying the top six places in the table.
Just look at some of the clashes to come:
Bath host Sale Sharks and Wasps are at home to Saracens while Tigers are in the North-East this weekend.
Then in Round 18, with the Six Nations done and dusted, Wasps go to Saints while Tigers host Exeter.
After Easter, Saracens host Leicester on the same weekend that Chiefs play Saints, and a week later Northampton and Saracens go head to head once again while Wasps face the Chiefs.
Tigers figure in the game of the weekend in each of the last two rounds – at new neighbours Wasps and then at home to neighbours Northampton – while Saracens lock horns with the Chiefs.
Nerves will be frayed, fingernails bitten, hearts will surely skip a beat. No one said it was going to be easy!
