Julie Hayton, Leicester Tigers' head of medical services, is leaving the club to concentrate on the further development of Function Jigsaw, her own sports injury rehabilitation consultancy and multidisciplinary Leicester-based sports injury clinic.Julie has been at the club for 11 years and has done much with regards to progressive multidisciplinary injury rehabilitation programmes and scheduling, continued sourcing of innovative treatment methods and technologies in the field of sports medicine, and medical administration process systems to ensure that the Leicester Tigers medial department has its current reputation as one of the very best in sport. Tigers are delighted that they have been able to enter into agreement with Function Jigsaw to utilise Julie’s skill as a world-class sports injury rehabilitation therapist following her departure.   Richard Cockerill, Tigers director of rugby, said: “Julie has been a very hard-working and essential member of our medical team and has driven many of the advances that we, as a club, have made in this area. "Her departure is a blow to us but I am really pleased that has been mitigated, to some extent, by the fact that we will be able to benefit from her skills as a leader in her field of sports injury rehabilitation and soft tissue therapy, and I hope that the new head of medical services will be able to retain the same high standard that Julie has set and we wish her all the very best in her new venture.”
