Laurence Pearce thanked the Leicester Tigers fans after winning the final Goldsmiths Player of the Month award of the season.Pearce won the supporters’ votes after a series of eye-catching performances for the Tigers, including two tries in the Aviva Premiership victory over London Welsh.   The Tigers back-rower finished ahead of Freddie Burns and Logovi’i Mulipola in the supporter voting.   “It’s really nice to win the Goldsmiths Player of the Month award and I thank everyone who voted,” says Pearce.   “It’s great to be part of this squad, everyone digging in for each other and playing a huge part in reaching the Aviva Premiership play-offs with eight wins in the last nine games.   “It’s been a real squad effort and the boys are really excited about the semi-final this weekend.”   Pearce joins Marcos Ayerza, Mathew Tait, Sam Harrison, Graham Kitchener, Julian Salvi, Jamie Gibson and Harry Thacker as winners of the Goldsmiths Player of the Month this season.   The Tigers Player of the Month award is supported by Goldsmiths, the largest prestige and luxury jewellers in the UK, who are also official East Stand sponsors and official timekeepers.
