Welford Road hosted its last rugby action of the season as SP4 Rally For Heroes ran out winners in the sixth annual National Corporate Sevens.Welford Road was bathed in sunshine for the tournament, which was played in great spirit and with no shortage of quality too.
SP4 Rally For Heroes beat GForce, the three-time former winners, in the final 26-12
PJ Care, last year’s cup winners, took home the plate following a 35-21 final victory over Team T, while Westleigh Partnerships edged a hard-fought bowl final 22-17 against Hilton.
The National Corporate Sevens included appearances from seven lucky eBay bidders, who had the chance to run out on the Welford Road pitch with the Tigers Community team.
The online auction was in aid of the Leicester Tigers Foundation and its drive to raise £150,000 to help support the Tigers Wheelchair Rugby and launch the new Nach Nach Tigers programme.
