Mathew Tait says he feels "fit and fine" after reaching the end of the busiest club season of his career and is already looking forward to the start of another campaign after the summer break.Full-back Tait played 28 games for Tigers in 2014/15 and ended the season at Twickenham as part of the England XV which recorded a record win over the Barbarians.   After agreeing terms on a new contract, the 29-year-old Tait says he will make the most of the summer break before returning to pre-season training and preparing for another big campaign with the Tigers.   “I think 28 games is the most I’ve ever played at club level in a season and to get to this point feeling fit and fine has been great,” said Tait who made his first Premiership appearance as a Newcastle Falcons player when he was still at Barnard Castle School.   “You look at guys like Seremaia Bai and Brad Thorn and try to pick up how they’ve looked after themselves and played for so long. In the England squad last week I was with Mike Catt who played till he was 39 too.   “You just try to look after yourself and see how far you can go.”   After playing his part in England’s big win at Twickenham, the 29-year-old Tait added: “You get to the end of the season and it is nice to think you'll have a break from training. Also, people don’t always realise that when you are rehabbing from an injury you're around the place even more, so all the guys are at Oval Park a lot.   “It’s nice to just switch off from rugby sometimes, have a break from it and feel fresh for next year when you come back in.   “It’s going to be a big year for us. There are a lot of areas to improve on, there have been a few changes in the squad, Aaron Mauger is coming in with his own ideas and ways of doing things. I’m looking forward to it.”
