Former Leicester Tigers centre Anthony Allen is passing on his experience and knowledge to the club's academy players in the next stage of his career.Allen, 29, made 124 appearances in six seasons with Tigers, playing in four Premiership Finals and being named Players’ Player of the Year in 2010/11 before injury curtailed his career at the end of last season.   Now he is taking the first steps on the coaching ladder, working with the Tigers Academy squad alongside manager David Wilks, assistant manager Tosh Askew and coach Brett Deacon.   Tigers director of rugby Richard Cockerill said: “Anthony has an excellent understanding of the game and I’m delighted that he will remain involved with the club and pass on that knowledge in the academy. We wish him well in his new role.”   Allen, who made his final appearance as a player in the Aviva Premiership match at Harlequins in January, said: “It is obviously very disappointing when you know that your playing career has come to an end but I’d like to thank the Tigers for their support and for providing me with an opportunity to work with the club’s academy as I look forward to a new phase in my life.”
