England and Wales go head to head in the Rugby World Cup at Twickenham this Saturday evening and you can follow all of the action at Welford Road. After England opened their campaign with a bonus-point victory over Fiji last Friday, pool rivals Wales scored an emphatic 54-9 win over Uruguay, setting up a massive encounter this weekend.
As part of the Tigers World Cup events, we’ll have big-screen coverage in Final Whistle at Welford Road to allow supporters to come together and share an evening in rugby's biggest global event. Kick-off is at 8pm.
The Final Whistle bar will be open for refreshments and food. Tickets are just £2 - refundable against refreshments - and available online and at the Tigers ticket office.
A separate dinner event featuring a hot fork buffet in the company of Tigers duo Freddie Burns and Miles Benjamin, plus live entertainment from the Bridgend Male Voice Choir, has also been organised.
Tickets for the dinner event are £25 adults, £10 juniors for season ticket holders, and £30/£15 for all other supporters, and bookings are still being taken.
Book for the Final Whistle or dinner event at the Tigers ticket office at Welford Road, phone 0116 319 8888 or book online at www.leicestertigers.com/worldcup.
England 2015 will attract rugby fans from around the world and Tigers are opening the doors to all supporters for events around England fixtures and matches played in the city.
We’ll have big screen coverage of England versus Australia on Saturday, October 3 – stay behind after the pre-season fixture between Tigers and Loughborough University to enjoy a full day's rugby – and there is another dinner event featuring more Tigers favourites.
You can also join us at our Tigers World Cup party on the plaza at Welford Road from 11.30am on Sunday, October 4 on the way to the match between Argentina and Tonga.
A week later (October 11), we’re throwing open the doors to Welford Road to allow supporters to take a look at the home of the Tigers as well as planning activities on the plaza when Argentina face Namibia at Leicester City FC.
