Business highlight at Tigers HUDDLE

HUDDLE promises to be a highlight in the business calendar, giving the business community the opportunity to rub shoulders with industry experts and Leicester Tigers legends during Leicestershire Business Fortnight.Tigers invite business leaders and their future stars to come together to share best practice at the hub of Leicestershire business, Welford Road, as part of our inaugural HUDDLE on Tuesday, November 3.   Award-winning entrepreneur Simon Woodroffe OBE has been added to a list of speakers which already includes Rugby World Cup winner and TV commentator Ben Kay; former Director General of the CBI, Lord Digby Jones; and CEO of Radley, Justin Stead.   Woodroffe spent 30 years in the entertainment business and in 1997, he founded YO! Sushi, the first restaurant on London's Poland Street, and it became an overnight phenomenon. Simon won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1999 and became part of the CBI/BCC Ambassador of Entrepreneurism campaign before joining BBC’s Dragons Den panel.   Each keynote will speak about their experiences in industry as well as joining masterclass sessions for up to 100 people.   Aimed at senior decision-makers, HUDDLE will include business masterclasses, business scrums and keynote speeches; hard-hat tours with Tigers legends of Welford Road’s new West Stand; top-class catering from breakfast to afternoon tea; and a health and wellness area. Delegates will also be given the opportunity to book meeting space on the day to work away from the office.   HUDDLE masterclasses include ‘The Power of Partnerships: How working together offers bigger opportunities’ presented by Helen Donnelan, Head of Inward Investment at Leicester City Council, former Tigers player and charity founder Matt Hampson, and Byron Dixon, owner of an award-winning antimicrobial business, Corium Solutions Ltd.   Our more intimate ‘Business Scrums’ are limited to 20 guests and rovide the chance to discuss the implementation of ideas across the day.
