Debut was a dream come true, says Worth

George Worth says it was a dream come true to make his Leicester Tigers debut made even more special that it came alongside school friend Will Evans.

Worth was given his Tigers bow in Saturday’s Aviva Premiership game away to Bath Rugby, coming on as a replacement in the second half.

His good friend Evans made his third appearance, scoring his second try in only his second start for the club in a 38-27 defeat at The Rec.

And afterwards Worth said it was a proud moment to play with fellow former Wymondham College pupil Evans.

“I went to school with Will at Wymondham College,” he said. “Since year 7 we have been playing rugby together. To do it on the big stage for Tigers is a dream come true for both of us.

“I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was an experience that came round slightly quicker than I was expecting. When it comes you try to take the opportunity as well as you can and hopefully I did that.”
