The Maul, the Tigers roadshow vehicle, joined Matt Hampson at the BGL Sport Bash in Stamford and the list of attractions at Heckington Show on a busy weekend.

Tigers were at Stamford School, Lincolnshire, on Friday in support of the Matt Hampson Foundation, Seb Goold Trust and George Robinson Trust (#teamgeorge), the club charities for the 2016/17 season.

The BGL Sport Bash has become an established event over the last few years, which features a celebrity cricket match, live music, food and drink and plenty of free activities.

The cricket match pitched a Dean Headley XI against a team of local legends, with former England internationals Simon Jones, Geraint Jones and Phil DeFreitas were among the ex-professionals to play.

Tigers then made the trip to the Heckington Show in Sleaford, the largest village show in Britain, which is now in its 149th year.

The Maul hosted events and activities, including club mascot Welford and the photo booth, plus the Speed Pass Challenge which welcomed a new scoreboard leader. Jack Leggate, aged 12, from Kirby on Bain made all five passes in 6.7 seconds to take the lead spot.

Tigers also ran the Big Boot in the ring on Sunday with lots of visitors taking on the high ball challenge, which is a popular part of the half-time entertainment on matchdays at Welford Road.

Tigers Maul team member Abbie Collins also completed the Heckington 10, a 10 mile race around the show.
