Diss RFC hosted the opening festival of the Prima Tiger Cup season on Sunday.
Supported by Prima Solutions of Loughborough, the Prima Tiger Cup is a free-to-enter contact-based fun event open to all clubs at under-10s level (RFU defined).
The event takes place over four festivals covering the Tigers academy region and beyond. At these festivals the Tigers will be looking to identify clubs who demonstrate the true ethos of the game under our event criteria in keeping with the RFU Age Grade Rules and guidelines.
On Sunday teams Beccles, Holt, Newmarket, North Walsham, Southwold, Sudbury, Swaffham, Wymondham and hosts Diss took part in the first festival.
The teams representing Sudbury, Southwold, Newmarket, Wymondham and North Walsham have been invited to participate in a series of games to be held at the Tigers’ Welford Road stadium, providing a fantastic experience to young and aspiring players.
Attracting more than 70 entries each season, the Prima Tiger Cup is the largest and most prestigious single age-group playing opportunity in the rugby calendar.

Mellish RFC: October 16
