Bid for Heritage Bricks on the Wall of Legends

Figure image
The first two Heritage Bricks, located in the centre of the new Wall of Legends, are being auctioned online from today to raise money for the Leicester Tigers Foundation.

The bricks measure 30cm by 8cm and will be the biggest on the wall, which is being fully restored in an enhanced mural at the entrance to the new Robin Hood Stand and will be visible from Aylestone Road.

The bricks will have black text on gold backing, with room for a message across four lines.

Successful bidders will also receive a signed History book by Leicester Tigers’ Legends, two padded seat tickets for the Leicester Tigers v Harlequins fixture (November 20) as well as a half time presentation photo on the pitch.

The old brickwork design of the Wall of Legends has been replaced with Leicester’s Red, Green and White stripes and also includes imagery of the legends from Tigers’ history.

All original names and messages will be transferred on to the new Wall of Legends, around the original legend of their choice.

Originally featuring 15 legends from Tigers’ history, including the names of Martin Johnson and Peter Wheeler, the new Wall of Legends will include additions from the greats off the pitch as well as those who graced it.

Tom Crumbie, Herbert ‘Chalkie’ White and Peter Tom will now also be honoured for their contributions to the club, along with the likes of Geordan Murphy, Neil Back and Graham Rowntree.
