Tigers building momentum with Cup wins - Harrison

Sam Harrison says back-to-back wins in the Anglo-Welsh Cup will allow Leicester Tigers to take some momentum into a crucial part of the season.

Tigers made it two wins out of two in the cross-border competition with a 42-3 bonus-point victory over Newport Gwent Dragons on Saturday and now face three vital fixtures in the Aviva Premiership – beginning at home to Harlequins in the Aviva Premiership on Sunday.

The game against Quins is in huge demand with very limited seats and standing places on the Terrace now available. Book now to avoid disappointment by clicking here or calling 0116 319 8888 (option 2).

Tigers then travel to Bristol Rugby at the end of November before welcoming local rivals Northampton Saints to Welford Road and the European double header with Munster in December.

Scrum-half Harrison, captain for the win over the Dragons, said: “All the lads bought into this period really well and we’ve had a very positive two weeks. Mentally, everyone was on it, we played in the right areas and we executed very well.

“This week was not only about the development side of things, but also about getting some momentum to take into this next period of the season. It’s about putting your hand up and pushing for places. Everybody has to be ready to go on to that next level and we’re looking forward to it.”
