Seb Goold Day needs your support

Figure image
Saturday is not just Derby Day at Welford Road, it is also Seb Goold Day in support of a Leicester Tigers club charity.

Seb is a remarkable young man from a remarkable family. We can think of no one better than his parents Tracey and Nick to tell you why we need your support:

“Two years ago our son Seb almost died when, on the way home from a rugby tournament playing for Stamford RFC, he fell out of a door of a coach.

“In spite of an above-the-knee amputation and over 30 operations, he has shown huge bravery in his recovery and is now part of our family campaign to fight for safer coach travel, so that this doesn’t happen to another family.”

We urge everyone in the Tigers family to take one minute to click here and read and fill in the petition to support the campaign.

Seb is now well on the way to recovery, and will be enjoying his birthday at the match alongside his twin brother Ben and their parents, but it’s so important for them, their family and the wider rugby community making trips like Seb’s every weekend that this is not allowed to happen again.

Tigers are delighted to offer the club’s support and hope matchday fans can all show support as the family’s campaign aims to reach 100,000 signatures on their petition.

The petition can be found at https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/163522

For more information see @safercoaches on Twitter or search for Safer Coaches on Facebook.

Good luck to Seb, his twin brother Ben and their parents. We look forward to meeting up again on Saturday afternoon!
