Former Leicester Tigers lock Louis Deacon has been invited to pass on his knowledge and experience as part of an England Under-20s training camp this month.

Deacon and former England prop Alex Corbisiero have been invited into camp to support the squad as they come together for the second time since the squad announcement in October.

Before retiring in 2015, Deacon made 274 appearances for Tigers, helping them win six Premiership titles and two Anglo-Welsh Cups alongside 29 caps for England.

In his first post-retirement coaching role, the 36-year-old joined Birmingham Moseley as a lineout coach before progressing to the role of forwards coach for the National One side.

Dean Ryan, head of international player development at the RFU, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Louis and Alex to share their vast knowledge and experience with the next generation of England players.

“When you wear the rose there is a big step up in intensity and both Louis and Alex will play an important role in supporting Rory Teague during this camp to make sure this group of players are prepared for that as we continue their development ahead of the Six Nations.”
